Catapult does not compare with other teen leadership camps. Its focus is on teens who would otherwise never have the opportunity to take part in this type of experiential learning. Catapult campers will be the students who have enormous potential with all the qualities to succeed - but who haven't had many chances to participate in experiences that develop team building skills and confidence.
Students can only attend Catapult if they are nominated by a Teacher or Guidance Counsellor. Please consider who among your students would be an excellent candidate for this potentially life-changing experience. The deadline for nominations is March 29, 2010. Presented by Erdene Resource Development Corp., Catapult is a non-profit camp fully funded by corporate sponsorships. Registration, accommodation, meals and even transportation will be provided at no cost to the school or student. Catapult’s Camp Director is Roger Ratner, CEO of ‘Village Camps International’ based in Switzerland. Mr. Ratner is one of the world’s leaders in teenage leadership camps and has more than 35 years of experience. Joining Roger will be other experienced counsellors from various countries including the extremely popular “Mr. Phil” Gugliuzza, a leadership expert from New Orleans who has inspired students around the world. A full information package, including nomination forms, will be sent to every junior high and middle school in Nova Scotia. |
